Our ROVENE® carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsions deliver a firm hand with excellent strength properties. These binders have a low VOC that have the ability to be cross-linked with external cross-linking agents. Our products can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays, and alumina trihydrate as fillers; sodium polyacrylate thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. They impart a good wet/dry tensile strength and have good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces. This adhesion contributes to the good tuft binds and excellent de-lamination in carpet applications.
