Release Coatings

polymers_release_coatings

Release coatings are an important consideration in tapes and labels as they keep the tape or label from permanently adhering to the layer below. In a roll of tape for example, the right amount of release is critical. If the release is too easy then the tape will fall off the roll, while if it is too tight then it may be impossible to remove the tape from the roll without tearing.

At MCP we offer a customizable solution by providing latexes with either tight release or easy release characteristics. This allows the customer to blend to the desired release level to match performance requirements.
