The plant will continue to operate on a normal schedule. Careful preparations have been made to avoid wind debris and manage storm water. If circumstances change to create severe wind conditions that could threaten the plant or our fellow employees, we will implement our emergency plan for an orderly, temporary shutdown.
A daily communication is being sent to everyone at MCP who deals with customers, production planning and logistics. A MCP representative will contact customers if orders will be delayed.
Shipping delays may occur for locations in the Carolinas, Georgia and perhaps areas of Florida due to flooding or other road conditions. We have been informed by carriers that if sustained winds of 45 MPH occur, they will shut down all tractors. If flooding occurs, carriers will not send equipment into flooded areas.
