Dust Suppression

polymers_dust_suppression

Dust suppression is often cited as a primary application of polymer emulsion soil stabilization. Dust control is crucial in the mining sector, as well as heavy industries such as petroleum refining or oil and gas extraction. Dust suppression is not limited to roads, but may be applied on stockpiles, slopes, and in-transit goods. These industries also use polymer emulsions to stabilize haul and access roads to industry sites.

MCP recommends styrene butadiene emulsions for dust suppression applications because of the excellent water resistance properties. MCP's styrene acrylic emulsion polymer has the ability to be blended with salt solutions. Application and cure rates are dependent on the soil composition and geographical location.
