“Hand” or handle refers to the feel of the fabric, which is a critical property in most textile applications. Hand is closely related to the Tg of the emulsion polymer that is used in the formulated compound. A lower Tg tends to impart a softer feel as well as improving drape behavior while a high Tg emulsion will impart stiffness. MCP can offer products that will modify by stiffening or softening the textile material. When appropriate, a unique or custom polymer can be developed to provide very specific properties.
Rovene 6005 is a very soft acrylic, high molecular weight latex emulsion specifically designed for formulation of pressure sensitive permanent label adhesives.
Rovene 9410 is a very soft carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion specifically designed for formulation of pressure sensitive adhesives.
Rovene 4601 is a styrene-butadiene polymer emulsion designed to perform in textile applications. It may be utilized as a blend component, but may also find utility in textile applications where a very stiff final product is desired.
Rovene 4106 is a carboxylated, styrene-butadiene emulsion that can be used to enhance gloss on coated printing papers and paperboard.
Rovene 6065 is a styrene-acrylic polymer that is a tough, durable nonwoven binder intended to provide improved stiffness and strength.
