Application Description
Roofing surfaces are exposed to sunlight, temperature extremes, and ponded water. Coatings need to be strong, but flexible with excellent water resistance. Important performance properties include the ability to compound with high filler loadings, good flexibility at low temperatures, crack resistance and adhesion over many substrates.
MCP offers emulsion polymers that can be used in roofing primers, membranes, and topcoats. Our styrene butadiene polymers offer superior water resistance and adhesion as a primer or membrane while our acrylic polymers are used in the UV resistant elastomeric topcoats.
