Financial Analyst

THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED

The Financial Analyst position plays a pivotal role in the company’s forecasting, planning and business analysis activities. This role will be responsible for driving the demand forecasting process and performing cost and operations analysis to assist management in meeting its financial and strategic business objectives.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Develop rolling 12-month demand forecasts at the customer and SKU level utilizing ERP/forecasting software tools to be used in sales, operations and financial planning activities.
    • Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure demand and supply plans/capabilities are closely aligned.
    • Analyze sales trends and order patterns to highlight risks and opportunities to management.
    • Analyze monthly sales forecast accuracy performance and identify areas of improvement and business impact.
    • Analyze production trends, asset utilization rates and manufacturing costs to drive cost &amp; efficiency improvements.
    • Assist in the development of annual business plans and interim forecasts.
    • Collaborate with Financial Director to improve sales, financial and operational analysis and complete the associated reports.

Relationship With Others' Job:

  • Position will interact closely with sales, marketing, supply chain and production teams to analyze/interpret results.
  • Position will make presentations to and interact with Leadership Team and work with them on key business decisions.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience performing sales/demand/financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using integrated ERP systems such as JD Edwards (preferred), SAP, Oracle or similar systems
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-starter with high energy and initiative with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to use advanced formulas, functions, pivot tables, charts and macros.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities and objectives.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience working on cross-functional business teams.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform administrative office functions including the use of basic office equipment.

Travel: Minimal travel required.
