Rovene® 2800

CARBOXYLATED STYRENE-BUTADIENE EMULSION

Rovene® 2800 is a self-crosslinking carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a soft, resilient hand with outstanding strength properties. This binder is especially suited for various textile and coating applications. Rovene® 2800 imparts excellent water and solvent resistance, excellent tensile strength and good adhesion to a wide variety of fibers. In contrast to conventional styrene-butadienes, Rovene® 2800 has a much faster cure rate. In addition, it can be easily sprayed, is mechanically stable (at pH 8.5 and greater), and is low foaming. Rovene® 2800 is used as a primary binder for nonwoven and textile applications in areas such as bonding wet wipes, polishing pads, filters, and facial scrub pads.
