Rovene® 4817

CARBOXYLATED STYRENE-BUTADIENE EMULSION

Rovene 4817 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. This binder is crosslinkable with external crosslinking agents. Rovene 4817 can be compounded to high solids using clays, whiting, and alumina trihydrate as fillers; sodium polyacrylate thickeners are recommended to increase viscosity. These compounds show high drying rates, imparts good tensile strength, and has good adhesion to a wide variety of fibers.
