CDL Driver / Warehouse

*THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED*

Responsible for transporting bulk and raw materials to and from company locations; responsible for maintaining warehouse in an orderly and safe manner; loads trucks for out-going shipments; processes receiving paperwork.

Job Requirements:

  • Unloads and loads packaged raw material and finished product from rail site
  • Takes inventory counts as requested by the Product to Customer Department (PTC)
  • Operates a forklift
  • Maintains housekeeping of the warehouse and the dock area
  • Checks the bills of lading and purchase orders against merchandise or materials received and reports any discrepancies prior to accepting the materials received
  • Load truck based on work order and BOL ; notifies PTC on any delays in meeting shipment/delivery schedules
  • Operates yard tractor in spotting and weighing of tankers and transporting drum trailer from storage area to warehouse area for drumming
  • Takes latex samples and prepares for shipment per requests of PTC
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate tank farm levels of raw material
  • Responsible for transporting finished product to offsite warehouses as necessary
  • Responsible for transporting re-work material from warehouse to plant
  • Back up for offsite warehouse
  • Assist production as needed and directed
  • Process receiving paperwork in company software system
  • Safety inspections
  • Receive and send out Fed Ex and UPS shipments
  • Other tasks as directed by Supervisor
  • Flexible work schedule, ability to work weekends 

Relationships With Others' Jobs:

  • Interact with other Plant personnel
  • Work closely with PTC group; providing accurate information
  • Interact with drivers / representatives of delivery companies

Accountability:

  • Accurate inventory
  • Correct loading of product
  • Operate in a safe manner, following all MCP and DOT guidelines and regulations 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must have current CDL with tanker and Haz-Mat endorsements (and be able to maintain)
  • Be able to work independently and in a team
  • Able to multi task
  • Able to get forklift license and maintain
  • Be flexible
  • Computer skills (Word & Excel, Outlook)
  • Transloading experience preferred
  • 2+ years of prior driving experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive/handle tanker, box
  • Able to meet all DOT requirements
  • Be able to lift push pull 50 lbs
  • Be able to wear all required PPE; including respirator
  • Be able to climb stairs/ladders
  • Able to work outside in heat/cold
  • Be able to bend, squat, lift arms overhead

Travel:

  • From MCP location to MCP location
  • Other local locations

 

Reports to:

  • Purchasing Manager with day to day direction from Team Lead
