POSITION SUMMARY:

Working in plant operations (batch process) to safely expedite production and shipment of products; handles transfers, blending, filtering, drumming and loading/unloading of product.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be assigned):

• Packages finished products (into totes, drums, tankers) to meet customer requirements and readies product for shipment
• Assists operators, supervisors and co-workers in all phases of operations as required
• Completes any worked or related tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Lead Operator 

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER JOBS:

• Interface with Supervisors, Co-workers, Plant Manager, Engineers, Logistics, Planning and others as it relates to production issues and needs

ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Plant safety
• Complete production requirements timely and accurately

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a chemical plant or similar environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
• Forklift experience desired
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills. Comfortable working on several tasks simultaneously
• Computer experience – Excel, Word and Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be physically able to climb stairs/ladders
• Lift 50 pounds and safely handle or manipulate full fifty-five (55) gallon drums all in accordance with acceptable practices and procedures
• May be required work on feet for extended periods of time and in low/high temperature conditions (outside)
• Must be able pass a respirator fit test (requires a clean-shaven face at all times)
• Required to use various hand tools and drive a fork lift
• Required to work 12 hours shifts. Shifts could be 7 am to 7 pm, 7 pm to 7 am or rotating
• Must be able to sit at a desk and monitor computer screens

PPE REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to wear standard PPE; safety shoes, safety glasses, hardhat
• Other PPE may be required as defined in MCP procedures
• Respirator on a as needed basis; requires a clean shaven face
• Hearing protection on a as needed basis

Starting pay: $17.62/hr
