Tylac® 873

NITRILE EMULSION

Tylac 873 is a carboxylated acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer emulsion. Addition of 2 to 10 % (dry/dry solids) in anionic asphalt emulsions improves low temperature flexibility and reduces high temperature tack. Tylac 873 also improves strength and chemical resistance.

Features

  • Good resistance to oil, grease and solvents
  • Compatible with anionic asphalt emulsions
  • Broadens the temperature range where the asphalt film is flexible but not tacky
  • Good mechanical stability
  • Good tensile strength
