Mallard Creek Polymers announces that Allan Oracion, Scott Yancey, and Angela Marzilli recently participated in the Carolina Star Safety Conference in Greensboro, NC. Committed to workplace safety and health, the company has been a long-term participant in the annual conference, and its facility has been certified as a Carolina Star site since 2001.

The statewide conference is designed to recognize and promote effective safety and health management by sharing best practices. The event is organized by the Carolina Star Board, a cooperative effort between the North Carolina Department of Labor and volunteer representatives from companies that use the Carolina Star safety and health management system.

According to the Carolina Star Board, becoming a program participant indicates an agreement by management and employees to ensure a safe and healthful workplace, and shows the surrounding community that a company is a recognized leader in health and safety practices.
