Mallard Creek Polymers Announces Participation in World of Concrete 2012 and Surfaces 2012 in Las Vegas

January 18, 2012

Mallard Creek Polymers (MCP) will attend World of Concrete again this year. We are working to grow our business in many cement and construction markets that gain value from polymer modification. The company is offering Rovene® styrene-butadiene (S/B) products, Tylac® nitrile grades for solvent resistance, and ethylene-vinyl acetate powders for oil drilling applications to name a just a few markets of focus. Highly specialized Tychem® polymer additives are in development for modification of precast concrete and other demanding concrete applications.

MCP will also attend Surfaces 2012. The company has been a key supplier to the carpet and cement surface markets for many years. There are a number of other flooring markets, from traditional vinyl flooring to “green” concepts containing recycled materials; that provide growth opportunities for the company. Additionally, participation in these conferences is aligned with the company’s strategy to engage customers to ‘Take a New Look’ at Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. in new places.

Sales and technical personnel will be prepared to discuss our growing line of styrene-acrylic and acrylic products, while continuing to identify fits for our core butadiene based technology. The BarrierPro®, Tylac®, and Tychem® lines will be featured along with Rovene® products for cement modification, carpet, adhesives (S/B, acrylic, and styrene-acrylic), etc. Mallard Creek Polymers continues to work to create new market applications for the company and for its customers. There are many projects ongoing with regards to polymer modification of concrete. These include bridge decking, oil field applications, pre-cast concrete, etc. MCP is also seeking customers to work with the company on flooring projects that incorporate recycled materials, where MCP can provide technology that enables manufacturers to make new ‘surfaces’ using old materials.
