Charlotte, NC, January 17, 2011—Mallard Creek Polymers (MCP) has been Taking a New Look at the way we interact with our customers and find new markets. As the company works to invest and grow in emulsion polymers, it has started to focus on key industry associations and conferences. Attendance at World of Concrete in 2010 started all this and MCP will be back in 2011.

The company will send a number of commercial and technical people to World of Concrete this year. Personnel will be prepared to discuss our exciting line of styrene-acrylic and acrylic products, while continuing to identify fits for our core S/B technology. Cement and Asphalt Modifiers like Tylac® 873, Rovene® 403/6023, EVA Powders, and industry’s most extensive array of styrene-butadiene products are available today. The BarrierPro® product line for Damp Proof Membranes sets the industry standard. Key products that provide a balance of film formation at essentially any application temperature with excellent resistance to hydrostatic pressure are commercially available. The company has continued to innovate in this area, developing highly water resistant polymers with outstanding barrier performance. BarrierPro® 4540 and the new and improved Low Tg option are both filling unique performance requirements in the market.

MCP continues to look broadly at products we can offer, based on our expertise in emulsion polymerization. Thickeners are the first additive we are offering to our latex customers. To that end, MCP will reintroduce Tychem® 68710, a high-efficiency thickener the industry has relied on in the past. The newest acrylic product, Rovene® 6018 for mastic adhesives, has been launched this week by the company. This product complements the broad products already available for Construction Adhesive applications.
