Mallard Creek Polymers Announces Graphic Arts Products

July 27, 2011

Charlotte, NC, June 24, 2011—In April of last year, Mallard Creek Polymers (MCP) announced its growing line of acrylic and styrene acrylic products. The company continues to develop an extensive product line in these chemistries, often 'one customer at a time'. At the same time, the company identified markets that could benefit from the unique combination of customer focus, creative and rapid research and development, and flexible manufacturing. Graphic Arts is one of the markets.

MCP was already participating with Styrene-Butadiene polymers, but recognized the need to create technology to produce Resin Supported Emulsions for this industry. As a result, three products are commercially available, and Rovene® 6104 will be coming soon. The company has already developed a new specialty product for customers in this market: Rovene 4111 is a titanium dioxide extender for ink formulations requiring opacity. Creating new products for customer applications is a key strength of the company. MCP is ready to work with customers on the next innovation required.

The markets, other than Graphic Arts, where the company is currently investing in R&D in acrylic products include Nonwovens, Construction Mastics, Textiles, Adhesives, Cement Admixtures, Paper Coating, Specialty Coatings, Personal Care, and Thickeners. Many new products have been developed and introduced to the market. MCP has a broad line of products that can be applied to the Graphic Arts industry. The new products and a few valuable existing polymers are being showcased with a new Product Selection Guide. You may download the product selection guide now, or call us at 1-877-413-0949 to request it.
