Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. has a long history in the textile and nonwoven markets. The company has invested in diversifying its product offering by installing two reactors capable of making acrylic and styrene acrylic emulsion polymers. Because of the shortage of supply and cost of methyl methacrylate, a key monomer in all acrylic latex, MCP R&D has been developing a wide array of styrene-acrylic products that can replace all acrylic systems. The products, varying in Tg and crosslinking functionality, perform equally to industry standard acrylic latex products.
