TYCHEM® 68710
TYCHEM® 68710 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene based alkali swellable thickener. It provides superior thickening efficiency and a psuedoplastic rheology profile across a wide variety of different latex and cementitious formulations. The thickener can be easily incorporated into a broad assortment of industrial and commecial applications including, but not limited to, mastics, coatings, damp proof membrane, textiles, dry cast concretes, concrete precast and mortar.
Advantages:
- Neutralized with ammonia, amines or fixed alkali (pH ≥ 8.0 required)
- Imparts significantly improved workability in cementitious mixtures
- Imparts a pseudo plastic rheology
- Passes 5 freeze-thaw cycle
- Highly efficient: A neutralized 1% solids solution yields 45,000-60,000 cP
- (1% thickener in DI water, pH raised to > 8.5 with ammonia, RV, #7 spindle, 20 rpm)
